Inspired by the paintings in the exhibition “Rembrandt’s Amsterdam. Golden Times?”, children can get creative themselves in the Open Studio.
In the 17th century, the city of Amsterdam attracted people from all over the world. The city had to be expanded at a rapid pace. The town hall, harbour and market square, as well as hospitals and prisons, were newly built. Inspired by this, the children create pictures of a city according to their own ideas trough drawing, cutting and gluing. Which places do we need and how can we feel comfortable there?
